Pediatric Urology

My 3 year old has been having tests ran every month for over 6 months and he continues to have blood in his urine. The first time we noticed it the urine was the color of Cranberry juice. There is not a high blood count lately but each month there is some blood between 3 and 7. The blood count has been as high at 10 and that first couple times it was higher than that. The doctor is not doing anything just checking it every month. Can anyone tell me if we should take him to a specalist at this point or just keeping having it checked each and every month? Or should our pediatrician be running some other type of test? Please help!
