My 13 yo daughter had a MACE procedure x 3 yo for bowel mgmt due to cloacal anomalies reconstruction - pull-through procedure. We currently use .5 L for irrigation with a french cath and 60 ml syringe. In order to preform the enema easily with this set-up, she needs assistance. We are staring to look at boarding schools and are working to provide her with a more self-sufficient means to perform her irrigation. Does anyone have experience or ideas in making this process easier, and independent?
