Grson is 8. Still wetting bed. His mor cured after waking her up at night 3-6 months (occasional accident later). is not working him it affects his self esteem. Dr says he is too ng medication. Probably has sleep apnea. If we treat sleep apnea would we fix bedwetting?

Some boys with sleep apnea have huge tonsils, that can lead to bedwetting. This is not a common cause of bedwetting, but I have seen it. As far as the medicine is concerned, there are couple of medications - called DDAVP and imipramine - which may help him. This does not cure the bedwetting, but helps it while children are trying to outgrow it.

My daughter wet the bed nearly every single night without exception till she was eight and had a tonsilectomy. She had the surgery over a year ago and has not wet the bed even once since then.
She had very large tonsils and adnoids per the doctor who removed them. Coincidence?
