So Worried Toddler's Penis

Post a new topicby jojouk on Thu Oct 15, 2009 7:27 am

Hi
I know all this may seem a bit odd about but I am worried sick.

Up until recently I had not really given my son's penis any thought. However, he is 2 and I have started potty training and it became obvious his was too small to hold to pee and even when sitting his wee comes out vitually horizontal. So this got me thinking it was on the small side.

I have looked online and found how to measure a babys penis and the normal range of size. My sons although not a 'micropenis' is below the normal size range.

He is not fat and is very tall for his age on the 95%.

I mentioned all this to my husband who is very worried. He then told his brother has a very small penis and that is the probably source of the mental health and self esteem issues he has. We are now terrified of a genetic link.

So basically is there anything that can be done for a small but not micropenis. I do not want my sone to be 'hung like a donkey' or anything but I am worried sick that if he is not in the 'normal' range it will have an awful effect on his self esteem in later life.

Thanks
jojo
