UTIs with no normal symptoms

Post a new topicby gret'smom on Wed Sep 12, 2007 9:29 am

ok, how about this...my daughter has tons of uti's her first one was about 3 years ago and she had all the usual symptoms - pain, burning, fever, frequency, urgency, discoloration - now though, and this is how it's been ever since, her ONLY symptom is that her pull-up in the morning is so incredibly malodorous it's enough to make you gag. NO FEVER, NO BURNING and, well, urgency is hard to judge since that seems to be part of the problem even when she's not infected. does anyone know if this is characteristic of something else the urologist may be overlooking?

I assume reflux had been ruled out. Additionally there is nothing blocking the outflow of urine from the urethra like a hymen with no opening. You might try cranberry juice or pills to see if changing the PH of the urine helps
