4yo reaccuring UTI

Post a new topicby jbubel on Wed Nov 07, 2007 4:14 pm

Help! My four year old in the last 2 1/2 months has been misdiagnosed with kidney tumors following a CT scan - then re diagnosed as "kidney infection" (although her urine/blood work showed no signs). Then upon completing antibiotics (5-7days) has had consequetively: strep, another UTI (ecoli bacteria), and now another UTI (enterococous bacteria). She has had CT scans, VCUG, and Xrays. All of which appear to be normal. Each time she completes a round of antibiotics within 5-7 days she is spiking 103-104 temp. and sick again. She has been potty trained since 2 but does wait to the last minute to "run" to the potty. She doesn't bed wet nor does she frequently have accidents. She normally showers rather than bathes too. Also, her urine stream, regardless of how she positions herself on the toilet, streams straight forward and not downward. She has an appt next Tues with an urologist Has anyone else experienced anything like this?? (My first 3 children were boys!)

Wow, this is a big one, I hope this info isn't too late.

For the E.coli based UTI, get some 'Waterfall D-Mannose'. I've been using it for a while now and have since been free of UTIs. It's a natural product that locks up the bacterial attachment mechanism thus preventing the bacteria from attaching to the bladder. So when she urinates, the bacteria is flushed out of her body. It's a much better idea than using anti-biotics because most of the time, anti-biotics given to resolve a UTI are effective against only 40% (ish) of the e.Coli bacteria that cause UTIs. And Ciprofloxacin can cause serious long-term damage to the joints and bones, and even have as a known side-effect, "Death on first dose". Oops!

...As for the Streptococcus, there is a product you can get called 'Xylotene' that may help against Strep.

...And the Enterococcos (and this took quite some research by the way :D ), so long as she isn't Diabetic, this mix should really help out. I've reduced these dose levels for a small child of 4.

* 1/3rd teaspoon of strong organic honey like Manuka.
* 1/3rd teaspoonful Xylotene.
* 1/3rd teaspoon Waterfall D-Mannose (in this case for its anti-inflammatory properties).
* 1/3rd teaspoon fructose (you can get this from most supermarkets).
* 1/3rd tablespoon Aloe Vera gel from fresh aloe vera leaf (not the pre-prepared bought juice, which has little effect - This is probably the most important ingredient in this mix against enterococcus).
* 1 x 250mg glucosamine sulphate tablets or capsules (a health food shop or supermarket...).
* 1 x 250mg collagen capsule.
* 1/8th teaspoonful of cinnamon.
* 60ml organic apple juice.

Have her take it about 4 - 6 times just for a day and you should find that it's works wonders.

Send her my love, and I hope that she is well again soon. Please let me know how you get along with this, it helped me a huge amount and I love the idea that it will make her well too.

Kindest regards,

Chiyaki x.
