I am the wife of a man with this affliction. It just came on about 4 months ago, since that time, he hurt his back, and then had a heart stent put in, in May. It came on fairly sudden, but has had the band in his palm for years, we just thought it was from hard work, and he grew up on a farm. It is having a terrible emotional affect on him. Thank you for posting, I have just started with a slight case and told my wife. She seems OK with it, but I am concerned if it progresses and can't be cured, then how will she feel.

I want everything in the world for her. Am nervous about the prospect of maybe not being able to fulfill her desires.
