Just came back from thje Urologist

Post a new topicby 2planker on Tue Nov 20, 2007 3:15 pm

35 and very healthy. Doctor examined me and suggested that there is a plaque formation that he could feel. As long as I can remember, I've had a slight curvature to the left and it hasn't gotten noticably worse, however over the past couple of years, I no longer have morning erections and although I can get an erection through arousal, maintaining has been an issue. I'm also just not as rigid as I used to be.

Suggesting that my condition may have been as a result of some sort of trauma (either some sort of direct hit to the penis, or an accidental bend during spirited sex). I'm not sure about the trauma, but I do recall bending a couple of times.

Everything that I'm reading here suggest that PD isn't necessarily brought on by "trauma" in the traditional sense.

He suggested an initial course of 400IU of Vitamin E 2x a day for 3 months, accompanied by some Cialis to "get over the hump". However, what I'm reading here is that once PD has been diagnosed, whether through some sort of trauma or other means, it doesn't really get any better.

Injections, surgery, etc. are very scarry propostions.

Anyone have any additional ideas on my situation?

I also have peyronie's. Unfortunately, there is no real effective treatment. Vitamin e is a waste of time. for this dr to suggest this would raise a question about how much he knows about this condition. I had verapramil and it did not do any good, but my dr said it stops it from getting worse.
It definitely did hurt, alot, but was not unbearable. Unless sex becomes impossible, would not have surgery.

good luck
