nerves

i know that there is a nerve bundle running up the dorsal side of the penis, but are there nerves on the back side, too? i have been having some sharp pains in my penis a little below the glans on the back side (the side facing away from the body when erect). is this nerve damage? thanks.

There are multiple small sensory nerves throughout the superficial tissues of the penis (in addition to the major nerve bundles).
Several problems might cause penile pain, but “nerve damage” is low on my list.
Please see your doctor for an individual exam/diagnosis and some personal guidance.

thank you for your prompt reply. i think i have PD, but my urologist is unsure. you say that there are "several problems" that can cause penile pain. my pain appears while i am getting an erection. once i have an erection, it goes away. other than PD, what might be the cause? thanks.

Given the scenario of pain only with erection, the #1 diagnosis is PD.
