Newcomer question

Post a new topicby blueyez on Tue Jun 10, 2008 9:08 pm

I am in a new relationship and I believe my boyfriend has Peyronie's Disease He says he noticed the curvature about 6 months ago. I have been researching and have read that vitamine E should be started within 6 months of the onset of this disease. Does this mean it is too late to even try this method? Also, being a man, he is more concerned with the shrinkage than anything else. Has anyone tried vitamine E and noticed restoration of size? Will it help with incomplete erection as well?
I know our we need to get him to a doctor, and I intend to make that happen. Please help me convince him that this is necessary.
Thank you for any information you can give me.

My understanding is that vitamin e is not a curative, but a palliative. Which is to say that it MAY slow the progression of the disease. I began taking it about 9 months ago when I first noticed my own curvature. The curvature has not gotten any worse, at least. My own regimin was to take 400 units three times per day for 6 months, and then continue with 400 units daily thereafter. I still take it daily, and intend to continue to do so. It is a benign substance in those dosages, and MAY help. Good luck.
