On the road to recouperationOk, it has been a couple of days beyond two weeks since the surgery. I will be seeing my doc next Wednesday.
To be honest, I don't remembe the surgery at all, barely remember being taken out of preop to tell you the truth. I awoke a few moments in Recovery Room and again on the ride to my room in the elevator. Then nothing else until a few hours later. To say that everything is a piece of cake would be a lie. Yes, it hurts and it hurts badly. Hell this was surgery afterall But things are starting to feel better, I can now touch my penis and it is not so sore to the touch. I have been in a state of almost permanent erection since the surgery. And have to report the worse case of blue balls ever LOL. I have been extremely horny, no other way to say it, since then as well. Looks like he hit a few more buttons that I expected. I like the new feeling, it has been so long since I felt this way. Sexually, I cant do anything for about 6 weeks. This is going to be hard to handle. I have had a one sided session with my wife - no sense for her to not be able to enjoy herself, but I was no able to do anything myself, still too hard to touch it and anyway, I have to wait another month. For anyone considering this, all I can say is to be prepared for the pain, and buy a pair of underwear, the briefs preferably that are at least one size too small. Or better yet a jock that will hold your scrotum tight. This support will greatly release the pressure and help you feel a bit more comfortable I have not taken my T this week as scheduled. I can't see increasing my sexual appetite at this time and will let it decrease until the week before I can start doing anything again. My PD is now over, now is the time to heal and gloat. I will now have the strength and rigidity of a 20 year old, with the experience of a 40 year old and the compassion of a 57 year old. I think my wife is going to start feeling like a nervous, virgin bride all over again, And she deserves it! Rich
Re: On the road to recouperationIt sounds like you have been through hell just to get to the inevitable surgery...I would just get it over with instead of going through all the preliminary trials...tell me this, how did you pick your doc? How did you find one who was accomplished at this surgery? How much did it cost? Did your insurance cover it? Are you gonna lose size? Will you need pills to get it up? You sound really upbeat about the surgery and I would appreciate hearing how you are doing. And kudos for keeping your wife happy...now that's a really manly-man thing to do!
Re: On the road to recouperationThanks for the comment.
First of all, it was really embarassing to go into those dirty book stores and buying various dildos to help satisfy my wife. Especially when all I had to do was use my hands and mouth instead lol I still enjoyed it The cost, I don't know, have not seen the expenses yet but I do know that Medicare and Blue Cross are covering the whole thing. Nothing to me. It is kind of important to go through all the prior steps. Surgery should be your last choice - always! While the injections work for some, my condition was just too much. As far as finding a doctor, Dr Morgantaller of Boston Men's Health was recommended by my Urologist here in Springfield MA. While the Springfield (MA) Medical area is quite good Peyronies only affects 1% of the male population (something I read somewhere). That does not justify having a doc base his /her practice on (I don't think that I would go to a female for this type of surgery or procedures) After having the reference, I checked him out. Just Google and up comes his name with some pretty good references. And then I had to meet him and talk to him and see what he had to say. Then my wife and I talked things over. We came to decision that we would proceed. At 57, I am much too young to stop having a sex life. What made my trip through this so hard is that I have Fibromyalgia. It seems that surgery causes a flair to us fibromytes. So good luck finding a doctor. Be comfortable with him and follow his advice.
Re: On the road to recouperationThanks for the feedback. My case is pretty bad, too, and I have no problem getting the injections first if need be. I just dont want to spend many more months getting results. I am 56 and unmarried, so it is pretty hard to explain my broke dick to any encounter. But I ain't giving up sex at this age either. The erection is there, but painful and short. Hope my insurance is as kind to me as you are to your wife!...good luck with your PD and fibromylasia.
Re: On the road to recouperationWhere are you located? If in New England, I can recommend the doctor who did mine. If not, let me know your state, i will ask when I see him this coming Wednesday

Re: On the road to recouperationWhat procedure did you have?
Re: On the road to recouperationI had to have the curvature corrected and a penile implant inserted.
I must make things clear, the reason I had such a rough time of it is because i suffer from Fibromyalgia Syndrome. Not everyone will have as bad a time as i did. Read my newest report on the recuperation process Rich
