Peyronie's disease long term effectsI have recently been diagonised with the disease, which the doc said could have been due to some bending during intercourse. An ultrasound showed calcification.
COuld someone tell me what are the long term implications of the same. I do not have any pain during urination or intercourse, nor do I have any deformity in erect position. I guess I saw this problem around 4 months ago and diagonsed the same on 13th March. The doc prescribed some vitamin E tablets for 15 days and some other tabs (which I do not know what they are), He said these might work, though not so sure. If the problem increases then he could look at surgery, but at present did not feel it neccessary. I wanted to know what are the long term effects if the same was left unattended to.
Re: Peyronie's disease long term effectsI hope you recover. I waited to see a urologist, visited one at UCLA and USC. I caught early verapamil injections accompanied by other meds can prevent permanent scarring and the need for a penile implant. Find a good urologist at a major university soon.
Re: Peyronie's disease long term effectsI was diagnosed with Peyronie's 30 years ago. I was given
no treatment by my urologist. Other than slight bending I have had no other effect from the disease. I am 83 years old now and still enjoying intercourse.
