Question about Peyronie's disorder.....(long)

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Jun 01, 2004 12:28 pm

I have a question about Peyronie's disorder. I am a 37 year old male who is in good overall health. When erect, my Penis curves downward at about a 30~40 degree angle a little before mid-shaft. I am still able to maintain an erection and am able to have intercourse. Erections are not painful.

I have noticed that the lower tube on the underside of the Penis (forget the proper medical name) has two small indentations in it approx. 3/4" apart. This is where the curvature starts.

I have noticed when I get an erection, the bottom tube is firmer and fuller from the base of the scrotum up to the point of the first indentation. From the 1st indentation forward to the Glans is generally not as firm. In fact, sometimes (but not always)the Glans will de-flate back down to flacid state while the rest of my Penis is erect. It's almost seems as if there is a blockage of bloodflow from the indentation point forward.

I'm reasonably sure that I don't have arterial disease because I have been checked for that via bloodwork and a Stress Echo EKG Nothing abnormal was found. Also, this problem has been with me since childhood.

The main problems this is causing for me is that I seem to be loosing some girth and my penis appears shorter than it actually is. Since I am almost exactly average in length, I'm not too concerned about that. However, it's the girth that bothers me since I am on the lower end of normal. This has caused me a great deal of anxiety since I am very self consious about it.

Is there any way to improve the bloodflow in the lower tube without messing up function and erection capability? I just don't want to go through the time, expense and dissapointment of seeing a urologist if there is nothing that can be done.

Sorry for the long rambling post....

Thanks,
MPOKC
