reserve peyronie'impotence?!well, i'm 31 and got pd from 3 years or so.
my disease started without a cause and in a progressive outcome: my worst problem is not the curve because is "only" 20 degree or so in the right and i could live with it . the really nightmare is the impotence; year after year the erection is impaired: today i can't get a firm erection, neither bed times. for venous leakage ,i guess. surely ,it is only phisic. the ecosound shows a moderate iperechogeny(don't sure what is the right english traslation for this)of the whole tunica albuginea. i checked a dozen of uros . e androl. made 6 ecodoppler but actually i was potent. i wish to avoid the implant , for now. i'm feel very ashamed for write those things and killed at the same time. 2 years ago i have the bent but normal erections; i was disperate because the incorcourse became less easyer. never immagine this outcome! is it possible to reverse this kind of impotence and to preserving the anatomy at the same time? is it possible that the depression can impaired the erection also when you are alone?! well, thanks and sorry for the grammatical errors.
Re: reserve peyronie'impotence?!vinni,
i've read many of your posts, and, from my own experience, i think your erectile problems could definitely be psychological, at least to some degree. it's the power of suggestion, you know? when i was first diagnosed with peyronie's, i couldn't get an erection at all, because i had read that peyronie's can lead to impotence. once i calmed down a little, though, i was able to perform just fine. my penis started to curve about two years ago. i didn't think anything of it, because it didn't affect me. i still only have about a 20 degree curve. about 4 months ago, i was looking on the internet, and i searched "curved penis" and came up with PD websites. that's when my erection problems started. i really think the mind plays more of a role in the disease than most people are willing to believe. i'm not a doctor or a psychologist, so i can't really back up any of what i've said. it's just what seems logical to me. when i dwell on the PD, i have problems (even my nocturnal erections are affected, i think. i've had plenty of nightmares about PD, so it can be on your mind even when you're sleeping). but when i don't think about it, things are much better. i hope this helps. Re: Re: reserve peyronie'impotence?!Good advice. Thanks.
Many things are possible, but an implant will permanently alter the anatomy such that the normal erectile process cannot occur. Depression is a very powerful inhibitor of sexual function. I suspect getting some guidance in that arena will be helpful.
