Never too young

My dad is only 41 and just a few short months ago he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He thought he had an infection of some kind so he went to the doctor, after learning of my families history of prostate cancer they decided to do a test. They told him that he was probably too young, but it’s never too early to start checking. We got his PSA results back and they said it was a little high, but it was probably just an infection, so they gave him an antibiotic and told him to come back...Read the full article

Thank you for posting this . I am 59 years old and just had prostate cancer detected through a PSA test . My PSA was only 7 . Unlike your father I had no symptoms and considered myself in good health. I have 2 sons in their late 30's . My daughter-in-law asked if my sons should be concerned about prostate cancer . I forwarded your post to her .
Keep us posted on how things are going . My urologist said my cancer is only in the prostate and curable . I have to decide on treatment .
