Relationship of psa reduction & cancer reduction

Post a new topicby psa3 on Sat Aug 29, 2009 4:57 pm

June '09, psa 18, 80 grams, Gleason 6. Hormone therapy (only)
now for past 2 1/2 months. Recent blood work: psa 3. Is there
any relationship between this great of a reduction in psa and
reduction in cancer in prostate. Any possibility cancer, which
is confined to prostate, has shrunk as well and no longer the
same threat as when first tested?

From what I understand yes.

Hormone therapy alone works, but it means staying on it to keep it down. I wonder if the HT doesn't deactivate the cancer, shrink it, render if helpless...?
