11 months of suffering

Hello, I’ve been suffering from prostatodynia for 11 months. I urinate 20-25 times per day and it is very exhausting. All of my tests done include: cysto, cat scans, xrays, ultrasounds. Everything shows I’m normal but still have these debilitating symptoms. I was wondering if this will ever go away and is there anyone else out there with the same symptoms? It just puzzles me that if the test’s come back negative then why the symptoms?

I am 43 yrs old and have been suffering for about eight or nine years just as you have described. I have had numerous test and there seems to be no physical reason for my trouble. I dispute being told that antibiotics do not help. The first time I was given antibiotics (cypro), 98% of my symptoms were gone in three days. If I get a relapse, antibiotics seem to provide relief. I have tried the following with some success. Streching in a pool. Hot sitz baths. Physical therapy stretching my spine - I was amazed that this seemed to help. I quit riding bike and running - now getting fat. Every time I do vigorous exercise, It causes the symptoms to re-appear. My urologist conducted prostrate massages several times and that helped too. He suggested at one point to teach my wife how to do them, but have not brought that up. I can attribute the onset of my condition to a particular event when I was lifting a heavy object and felt a pull in the groin area. Within a month I was so sick I could barely go to work. I shake my head that there is so little medical information or therapy for this type of condition. I think "We can put a man on the moon.....". I would be curious to know if you can pinpoint a particular event that triggered your symptoms.
