I have been diagnosed with chronic non-bacterial prostatitis for about 5 years. Currently on flomax and avodart (recent). Was on elmiron for about 2 years but current Dr. had me stop it. When I have bouts or flare-ups my symptoms are frequent urination of short duration and often week, no pain or blood on urination, no problem sexually, but the most bothersome is a pain centered in the penis area which radiates as body chills in by upper arms and upper body. My prostate and PSA seem to be fine. My Dr. says he has not heard of this as a symptom and it its the thing that is most bothersome and effecting my life. Advil and tylenol alone do not help but I found that vicodin does to some extent although I try to avoid it. I usually go to sleep at about 11 PM take a mild ambien cr 6mg which helps me sleep until about 5 am. This is currently when my frequent and short urinations begin. Any suggestions on my condition or pain management are appreciated

Well Iam 36y.o and Iam on morphine due to back issues and i have had two surgeries on my prostrate and all the meds in the world and nothing has helped, I have been told my ER doctors why not just have it taken out, I mean that is my last resort but I cant live with the pain and the hard times just going to the bathroom when the rest of folks can with ease, I thought by this point and all the meds there is for this and two surgeries I would be better, and the main talk is for me to have it taken out,

If your doctor ever figures anything out not to laugh but let me know cause I have a wonderful doctor and my main doctor has gotten involved to this day and says the only choice with me seems to just have it taken out and yes its bad at such a young age but I have to be able to raise my 12y.o son I have been his only parent since he was born so, I need my life back
