Chronic Prostatitis

Post a new topicby MichaelBerg on Thu Sep 06, 2007 7:08 pm

About 3 weeks ago "after using antibiotics" for a sinus infection I came down with Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis I was on Cipro for 2 1/2 weeks and stated Levaquin a few days ago. The inflamation is going away, but I still have a burning "ocassional" sensation when urinating and after ejactulation. I've read enough to know there's no cure, but I'm hoping for a prolonged remission. This whole problem has raised many question for me. Has anyone responded well to antibiotic treatment? And how can one judge their improvement? Thanks Michae

Some people respond to antibiotics. You might ask about prostatic massage, good luck.

Research Candida. I do not know if this is hurting you or not, but google candida and prostatitis and read up.

I'm beginning to think I have Chronic non bacterial Prostatitis too. Is there anything I can do other than regular visits to get my butthole fingered? It is extremely painful every time the urologist has done it. Not something to look forward to.
