Experience with prostatitis

Post a new topicby Meister on Thu Oct 25, 2007 12:55 pm

Hi. I've been suffering from prostatitis about some 5 years ago. From time to time, pain in the perianal area, fever, weakness, and you need extra effort to urinate...you feel really bad and it affects the normal way of life.

1. At the beginning you think is a simple urinary infection. But the prostata is also with inflamation.
2. Where does this inflamation comes from? No one knows. It is an infection? But when you think "may be is a hidden disease?" then panic becomes: you start reviewing all your sexual life, encouters (the worst are the traumatic ones), any spot, dot or bump in your genital area...anxiety starts...what to do next? which test should I take now?
3. You feel bad all the time. You stop activities, sports, dating, work, and the normal sexual life. The normal stress (that can be released with a normal quality of life, familiy+sex+sport+activities) accumulates, muscles get tension and sometimes you're confused because tests show nothing!! (doctors get puzzled also).

At the moment, I got the fever and pain and i went with my doctor. The urine test show some bacteria. Let us see what happens with antibioticum. An sperm (semen) test will also be performed, to try to find out what to do next.

I'm starting to think that maybe everything is a hidden infection directly on the prostata, hard to detect and if it is left untreated or not completely healed, it will return and will become worse with stress and anxiety Then the weakness, pain and fever comes out. But at the psychological level, after many years, you then realize, that it is important to have quality of life, to heal all injuries in the sentimental life, to stop depression if it appears and that there's nothing more beautiful that a normal, stable relationship with the opposite sex. Love to the other person that can be expressed physically through sex.

I would wait to see what happens afer the semen test. But I really would like to know if it is worth to do blood and STD tests. So please, I would like some advice at this moment, because I really want to heal this whole situation.
Sincerely yours. Meister.
