I need Help with prostatitis

Post a new topicby Jhonneedhelp on Sat Nov 24, 2007 8:37 am

Hi
I have been diagnosed with prostatitis 2 days ago; I have no doubt that it is chronic bacterial prostatitis because I have been sick since 6 month ago when I had a broken condom while penetrating a sex worker. Since 6 month we struggled to pick the exact cause of my problem, and I took so many different type of anti-biotic in that same period. And I did a STD profile including HIV and only Chlamydia was positive, which I took medication for.

Now since the diagnosis is prostatitis I wanted to know if a biopsy can be done on the prostate to identify the exact bacteria that is causing prostatis so that it can be killed and my life can go back to normal, I didn’t have that idea in my head when I was with the doctor. Can any one tell me?

And I also want to know what is the other way if a biopsy cannot be done for prostatitis, i mean what other test or method we can apply to pick up the culprit bacteria .

Thanks for your help.
