I have been on 3 different antiboltic for 2/3 weeks the 7 days Cipro, plus pain pill and one for urination. The frequent urination is not bad now and sleep better. But still have burning tip of penis and rectrum, alitte sore lower adbomial area , hip and between legs. I had this before but not as bad. Had exam doctor said hot up there, but not cancer. Said to stay on Cipro and use other two pills as needed. My question is how long does take to heal? The doctor said it will get better, but may take 4 to 6 weeks see him in 5. Also had ultrasound of kidneys/bladder, catscan, x-ray, blood test,EKG and urine test. He said when it clears up plans another PDA test and scope of bladder. The psa test last October was good and one before it. Also had bladder scope done 11/2 year ago and okay. Only thing was small enlargement of prostate and on flomax. My main concern is how long this will go on and should I me looking at other treatment.

Dear Underdog,

I am now going into my thirteenth week on Cipro. I take Ibuprofen for the pain and it hardly helps.
