urinate every 15 mins. no painI am 28 years old. I have a problem with frequent urination and sometimes its harder (more concentration needed and it feels like something is blocking the flow) to get it out but there is no pain. Sometime it is so bad that I go every 10-15 mins. It started in my late teens, early twenties but it was not nearly as bad. I am now 28. A couple of years ago I was told it was non bacterial prostatitis and that there was no cure. I went to get a second opinion and after numerous tests the doctor I am seeing now has agreed with my previous doctor saying that I have non bacterial prostatitis (inflamed prostate). This doctor has now given me two types of medication (proscar and flomax) but I have been taking them for 2 days and my testicals hurt so now I don't know if I will continue using them. Also, I have never seen so many warnings and side effect on 2 small packs of pills. I have lost all faith in pharmaceutical medication as i have tried so many already.
If anyone has had the same or similar problem I would greatly appreciate some advice. Thank you
Re: urinate every 15 mins. no painHello,
I just joined this Forum and noticed your post. I am 32 yr. old male and was diagnosed with non-bacterial prostatitis 4 years ago. I have no pain symptoms, but a high urination frequeny. I have had "attacks" (I call them) where I will need to go every 15 minutes or so for like 2 hours. The thing that bothers me most is how it effects my sleeping! I have gotten up every night for the last 4 years at least once to go to the bathroom. Many night twice... The two things that help me the most are anti-inflammatorys and elavil (low dose anti-depressant). Hope this helps...
