Hi I have recently seen your email address online and am desperately hoping to get an honest opinion and advice on a problem which I am not been able to gather courage to visit a physician. I would really really appreciate your advice.

I am single male 25 years old. I smoke and drink. Sexually I am not active for the last 6 months. Before that have been with 3 different partners in the last few years.

The problem :

In the month of sep 07 I was with my last partner with whom I probably was sexually involved 2-4 times and the last time I had sex it was a quite aggressive encounter where I tried to push my penis to the limits by harsh humping. Basically what I mean is the sexual experience might have been a little painful for my penis which involved speed and twist and turns. though it was all protected sex.

As it turns out I probably didnt wash up until the next day and within a couple of days I noticed extreme dryness on the shaft and top portion of my penis when I pull my foreskin down. I am uncut and neglected the problem and saw it as a case of dryness. Since then the problem has stayed the constant. I experience such extreme dryness whenever I get hard and erectness streches the skin. Now before masturbating I apply sort of lotion or petroleum jelly like vaseline and I can comfortably masturbate. This dryness is not accompanied by any sort of pain or pimples or warts except the extremely tiny white flakes of dry skin withering of the skin. I am totally distressed and have tried posting about the problem on online forums for the last few months and am absolutely shy to be able to think about disclosing the problem.

This is the first time in my life I have faced such an problem and have some how got that impression that herpes ( the most dangerous of all ) is accompanied by warts or pimple stuff, which gives me a little hope. Now even if I avoid masturbating for a week or so, the skin still withers and is lying around when I pull back my foreskin. My purpose here is to get an honest opinion where I dont have to visit an physician and disclose this opinion, rather discuss this in person. I can also take a picture with the foreskin pulled back in an erectile state when the whiteness on the skin is visible to be able to assist you in helping me.

Please offer some advice on the possibility and curability of the problem and any sort of over the counter drug ( local or oral) with which this can be sorted without an prescription.
