Hello,

I am not currently sexually active but found 3 bumps on the shaft of my penis that the doctor said were molluscom. He then froze them off with liquid nitrogen. I am wondering if there is any substance or medication that I can apply to the scars to make them heal better or go away faster? polysporin? hydrocortisone cream?

Also, is there anything to prevent getting molluscom in the future?

I would use a normal antibacterial ointment such as polysporin.

There is a chance the warts will come back from a prior infection or from self infection, so you there is a chance you will need to get treated again. Note that normal wart remover (i.e. Compound W, Duofilm, etc) works on MC, so you can treat it yourself, though it may take a week or two.

Best was to avoid it in the future is to use comdons and to wash thoroughly before and after sex, and to frequently wash your hands throughout the day.
