"Pimple" on Penis

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Feb 10, 2003 1:17 pm

About six weeks ago, I woke up to discover what looked like a pimple near the base of the sahft of my penis. I squeezed it and it popped. It bled a little, and then cleared up in about 2-3 days. I haven't seen any sign of similar growths/sores since.

I never had it checked out, but started thinking about it a few days ago, and am wondering and worrying if I am leaving anything potentially serious untreated.

Thoughts, anyone?

It was probably nothing to worry about. If it returns, then it would be wise to have it checked, especially if it first originated within a week or so of having sex. Note I did not use the term "unprotected sex" when I said "sex". Condoms often do not cover the very base of the penis and, therefore, offer no protection there.
