question

Post a new topicby carl on Sat Nov 10, 2007 11:18 am

Hi,

about one year ago i was diagnosed for testicular carcinoma
the affected testicle was removed and i was given several courses of chemo

all that lies far behind me by now, but there is still something that keeps worrying me
i read somewhere that people who suffered once from testicular cancer have a pretty high chance to develop the same condition again in the remaining testicle

this thougth is making me pretty paranoid, and i keep checking it every day

i noticed a faint ache and sometimes i think i distinguish a little swollen area, but the doctors keep telling me it is nothing, although i would prefer to see that confirmed by an echo or something

does anyone actually know how worried i should be? because it is making me crazy

thanks

carl

Carl,

Although I am new to the game everything I have read is that you have a 1% chance of your other testicle becoming cancerous. This # seems very low but that is what I have read. Your other Nut has to be sore because you are always grabbing at it... chill out and don't touch it for a couple of days and it should feel good.

Best to all,

OneNutter
