Ever since I had my vasectomy in 2002, I have had severe pain in my left testicle. It usually happens 3-4 times a year lasting anywhere from 1 day to 1 week. I have had several tests performed but all where normal. This last episode on March 9, 2009, I ended up in the ER and all they could say is that it was epididimitis caused by an STD. Mind you I have not been sexually active for 18 months now. They ran the STD tests anyway and they were negative like I suspected. The pain tends to be i...Read the full article

I feel your pain brother. I have lived with my pain for over 5 years. I had x-rays, ct scans, cat scans, ultrasound...I have been on numerous antibiotics, inflammatories, several pain medications, which Oxycontin 20mg 5day is the perfect amount no more no less. I have been to family doctor, 5 urologists, 1 from cleveland clinic. I have had steriod/inflammatory shots in my lower spine, (which helped my back pain a lot), one doctor told me my back pain is causing my testicle pain. There is more i have been through with nothing working. I, about 15 days ago, decided to come off the oxycontin, since i havent felt the serious pain i use to. Now i am here this morning ready to call my family doctor and tell him i am in serious pain still and i want to know if i have testicular torsion. I doubt i do, and i am going back on my medication. I feel sorry for the 700+ men on this sites forum that are having similiar issues, and there isn't one clear answer from any doctor as to what is wrong with us. Oh! I was told i have an in inquinal hernia by two urologists, 2 urologists say i need to have surgery so they can see what is wrong and i may end up losing one or both testicles, cleveland clinic urologists told me it's from my back pain, neither of them are correct and having my testicles removed is not an answer. I read several cases where men were in worse pain after having testicles removed. So i am very sorry buddy i don't have an answer for you, I will follow up and let this site know about the testicular torsion idea. Get some pain medication so you can at least be comfortable. Good luck sir.
