Acute testicular pain prior to ejaculationHello,
My husband had a vasectomy approx 20 years ago and recently (within the last two weeks), he has experienced severe brief pain in the left testicle during several cases of sexual stimulation corresponding to 'just before' orgasm/ejaculation. He describes it as feeling like the testicle 'jumped' or 'twisted'. Until tonight, this had only occurred during intercourse (various positions), not during oral or manual stimulation. In each case, the pain interrupted arousal, but within a period of several minutes, he was able to orgasm. He doesn't have other symtoms associated with infection, testicular torsion or epididymitis and does not have pain at any other times. As background, he has high blood pressure which is controlled via diovan/HCT (am) and norvasc (pm) daily. He also has acid reflux, controlled with omizac. He is 43 yrs old and in generally good health, although approx 20 lb overweight - almost all in the stomach/abdomen. I should mention that at times, although not recently, he has been unable to orgasm due to the blood pressure medications, and that, despite being a little past middle-aged, we are very sexually active (generally 5 to 7 times per week). Please provide any advice you might have....trying to decide if this requires a doctor's visit (obviously a delicate subject) and would like to have some idea of what might be the cause. Thank you.
Re: Acute testicular pain prior to ejaculationHaving had a vasectomy there is no longer a connection to the urinary tract, so it shouldn't relate to his prostate or bladder. Since this is new it would be woth while to get examined and perhaps have a testicular ultrasound done.
