Testicular Pain/ Scrotal Pain

Out of nowhere today I randomly started experiencing a very small discomforting pain on one side of my pelvic region. I felt the area and discovered that if I lightly poke it, I get the same discomforting pain. I discovered that it ran all the way down to a lump in my scrotum. I researched this and everyone is saying that it isn't testicular cancer if its not attached to the scrotum, which mine isn't as well. It is just kinda there above my testicles. From researching it, it seems to maybe be the epididymis. The area of discomfort does seem to be like its a narrow area of tubing, leading to the lump. I know obviously everyone is going to say see a doctor, but I also want to know if anyone knows anything about this beforehand.
