Testicle pain

Post a new topicby dannyray on Mon Apr 14, 2008 11:14 pm

Hello...

I am a 33-year-old, healthy (as far as I know!) male, and I've been having mild pain in my left testicle (sorta in the back of that testicle, and a little pain right behind the scrotum along the pereneum), off and on, for about 5 months. I've been in and out of my doctors office many times, but nothing that I'm tested for seems to pinpoint what's happening down there. Recently, my doctor had me get a testicular ultrasound, which didn't show anything out of the ordinary, except what she called a "very slight varicocele', and she said that it was probably too small to be what's causing the pain. She's checked for hernias, infections... nothing. I've finally been referred to a urologist but won't be able to see him for two weeks.

I'm quite scared as to what this might be, even though the ultrasound showed nothing. All I know is that it's not getting better... I'm able to keep the pain under control with Tylenol, which is good, but that only seems to mask the problem. I realize I can't be diagnosed over the web, but does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm going crazy with this, and I'm concerned the urologist won't find anything either, and I'll be stuck with this forever!

Also, I've been in the car traveling across the country over the past few days, and the pain is barely noticeable for some reason. So now I'm scared, AND confused. : (

Thanks much,

D
