Androgel Questions......ED, etc.

Post a new topicby Bofur on Thu Oct 16, 2008 8:57 pm

I'm 40 and I recently found out I have low-T. VERY LOW. It was like 124! I had the usual symptoms...fatigue, ED, etc.

Anyway I tried the patch and had a hard time getting them to stick/stay in place...so I switched to the gel. This is MUCH easier to mess with. Only two real problems with it so far:

1) Acne -forehead is all broke out.

2) I HATE sleeping a shirt....having sex in a shirt isn't all that great either.

I can certainly live with #1 but I have a possible solution to #2:

Currently I shower in the morning and then apply the gel (about 5:30am). What I'm wondering is could I start showering at night (at around 8:30pm)....then wouldn't it be "safe" for me to sleep shirtless? I still wont apply the gel until the next morning. I understand testosterone is generally all absorbed from the gel in the first 6 hours anyway, right?

Also I'd like other Androgel users to tell me how long it took for this stuff to actually make a real difference with ED/and/or the other problems associated with low T.

I've been using the gel for about 2 weeks now and it seems like my energy level is up somewhat but my ED isn't any better. Also my ED problem is a little odd. I can get erections...just NOT FULL erections. Specifically the head of my penis NEVER gets hard. Anyone familiar with this issue?

I can't answer all your questions, but (a) my doctor has told me that, if I take Androgel in the morning, the risk to my partner is low; and (b) a shower in the evening would help eliminate whatever risk remains. Best of luck.

I also use Androjel and it has helped me. My. Dr. told me that by bedtime at 1000 or 1100 any remaining residue on my shoulder would be insignificant, but a wet washcloth would certainly end any concern. There, that ends the shower and T-shirt problem.

I have been disappointed with my erections, while it gets very hard, including the penis head, it doesn't seem to last very long. The Viagra doesn't seem to help that out either.

Other than that, it did the job preventing me from sweating profusely at night ahen my level was just barely 200. Now it is about 600. It'll take a good month for you to really start noticing it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
