Free Testosterone level

Post a new topicby Duckski44 on Fri Jul 24, 2009 2:25 pm

I have been told that the most significant number is the free testosterone number. In other words, you can have an acceptable testosterone total # but be very symptomatic if your free testosterone number is low. I just started Androgel yesterday because my free T level was 5.2 I am very fatigued, difficulty concentrating, always tired etc. etc. My question is trying to get an idea of what the forum thinks about a 5.2 free level? I need to look at my bloodwork paperwork to see what the other T level was, but the Dr. was more concerned with the free level in my situation.

Thanks for your help!
