I am 21 M and still don't have a proper moustache (but do have pubic hairs at other places properly). My face looks somewhat like a girl, at least thats what my friends say. I am very thin (about 52kg/114pounds). I don't play any physical games and I feel very shy in front of others. I fear a lot and can't shout at anybody. I always turn out to be a loser in fights. Many a time, when confronted, I end up in tears.
But I don't have low libido, and no problems in ejaculation. Is this a case of low testosterone? How can I improve my masculinity? Please help. I feel depressed at my appearance.

I am not a doctor, and physically developed early, but there are genetic and other causes for low testosterone, and you should see a physician. Bottom line, see a doctor and have him run a battery of tests. If you do have low testosterone, don't feel guilty, there are quite a few of us out there. My low testosterone is probably due to an injury (but I am going to rule out a Prolactin producing tumor in my next physical), and the only way I found out was seeing a physican. The following may help (it is an exert from:);

http://www.menshealthnetwork.org/timeout/lowtestosterone.htm

“In addition to age-related low testosterone, there are certain medical conditions that can cause low testosterone. These medical conditions can begin in youth or in adulthood, and can affect testosterone levels throughout a man’s life. Some of these conditions are associated with the testicles, pituitary gland and/or hypothalamus (a part of the brain that controls many of the body’s glands). Occasionally, the problem can be genetic.
In younger men, low testosterone production may reduce the development of body and facial hair. Muscle mass and genitals may not develop normally, and younger men’s voices may fail to deepen.

If you experience symptoms associated with low testosterone, you may want to ask your doctor about getting your testosterone levels checked. Your primary care physician can check your testosterone levels with a simple blood test and treat you if you have low testosterone. You might also ask your primary care physician about a referral to an endocrinologist or urologist who specializes in treating conditions such as low testosterone.

IF YOU HAVE LOW TESTOSTERONE

If you do have low testosterone, the good news is that the condition is treatable. There are several FDA-approved testosterone replacement therapies, including:
• Injections
• Patches (What I recommend)
• Clear gel that you rub on your arm every morning
Talk to your doctor about which option may be best for you”.

Hi,

The problem you might have is finding doctor that understand what this is. You need to look for a special doctor. Most have no idea about this subject. Once you found a doctor who treats this type of problem get tested.

One option the others left out is the injection for use if your levels are super low.

Let us know about your progress.

Thanks a lot for your replies. So if I get diagnised for Testosterone deficiency, and if I undertake the treatment will my overall health improve? Will my muscular health improve?

I had the same problems at your age and let it go for years. I had low testosterone. I now take an injection every two weeks and have muscles for the first time in my life and body hair. I also feel very energized. I tried the patches and they did not stay on and the creams gave me rashes. I love the shot, simple, easy to measure and only 2x's a month.

Good luck!

I am back. Life seems to be pathetic as ever. I started with excercises, but then ended up with a knee pain - its running for the last ten days and am taking medicines for that (and no more excercise as of now). My moods are swinging pretty up and down. Carefully noticing, I see that I get irritated very often. In other words, all those symptoms of low testosterone are visible.
Meanwhile my doc said that the level is at 640. I am starting to suspect whether anything went wrong in the lab. Something is fundamentally wrong with me. What do I do? Do I insist him that my level might be low and tell him to prescribe medicine or take some medicine on my own (risky?) or continue doing excercises etc [and getting injured :( ]?
