Re: How long after taking Testim do you see changes?spoke with my Doc today and he said not to look for anything major for a couple of months.. however, I have noticed an increased horniness after a couple of weeks, but not enough to sustain anything, if you know what I mean..
Re: How long after taking Testim do you see changes?I would like to know the answer to that too! We all want a quick fix, don't we?
My husband has only been on Testim for a short while. I am trying not to imagine things better than they are, because I know that I am watching, hoping, and expecting a positive improvement on Testim. On the 5th day on Testim, he slept through the night, which he rarely ever does. Usually he gets up every night at least once, sometimes twice, and is up for a couple of hours. That same day I noticed he seemed more energetic in the morning, which may have been just because he got a good night's sleep rather than the Testim causing the energy boost. Either way, it was something I was glad to see. On day 7 it seemed he was in a better general mood most of the day. Previously he has been moody and even mean. As far as sex wise, I have yet to notice a difference. We had sex 3 times the first week. However, before you get to thinking, WOW!!!, let me tell you this. We have been married for all of a month and a half. I'm 32 and he is 44, and we are both otherwise in pretty good health. Sex twice a week was the "norm" before Testim. And when I say "sex" I mean me rubbing his penis a particular way for at least 30 minutes, a minute or two of foreplay for ME, followed by him getting in and huffing away for 2 or 3 minutes before he would climax, if and when he was able to climax. Maybe from a man's side that sounds okay, but it was not a satisfying experience for me either physically or emotionally to have to work that hard JUST to have sex, and then for it to be over so quickly. Of the 3 times we had sex, two times I had to make the suggestion. A woman does not feel very feminine when she is begging her newlywed husband to give her sex. At my age I am very desirous of sex and I love my husband very much, so it has been very disappointing that it has not been as enjoyable as we had hoped. We both took heart when we learned this was a medical problem, with his Testosterone at 190. His doctor told him normal was something like 241-847 I believe. It helps me be patient, though this is a very difficult road. You would think intimacy would come naturally but there are so many factors involved, and the lack of testosterone is a major hurdle to overcome.
Re: How long after taking Testim do you see changes? It usually takes about 2 months after treatment is commenced to really notice a difference. Also, does your husband have a T-deficiency? Was he diagnoised by his doc? And, if so, what kind of T is he taking? (i.e. injections?) By the way, injections are the only way to go.
