Testosterone Deficiency

So..I'm a 40 year old male and I've just been diagnoised by my doctor with low testosterone Was given the option of injections every two weeks or the patch. I elected for the patch. I was prescribed Androderm 5mg/day. My question is, how long will I have to use these patches? Is this somethig I will have to take for the rest of my life, or just for a short while?

If your natural testo levels are low, you may have to use TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) from now on. In my case it is a small price to pay to feel better. I would see if your MD will prescribe self injections of testosterone cypionate once per wk. or at least every other wk. Well, I don't know what your Doctor told you but from everything I've read testosterone just keeps diminishing with age. Don't feel bad, it usually starts between 35-40, I am 43 and began having trouble with my levels several years ago.
