23Male - Low testosterone/cholesterol

Post a new topicby samba on Wed Oct 14, 2009 7:15 pm

Hello everyone

I joined to get some advice and maybe a couple answers to questions I have. First, as background I eat well and exercise moderately. I am tall and thin and do not have any known biological problems and I don't know my family history. I know the symptoms of low testosterone and I fit the bill. So I took a mail-in salivary testosterone test. Here are the results.

My score first ("optimal range" second)

Estradiol .8 (.8-1.5)pg/ml
Progesterone .046 (.070-.015)ng/ml
Testosterone 52.9 (75-95)pg/ml
Dihydrotestosterone 20.9 (20-40)pg/ml
DHEA 413.5 (250-450) pg/ml
Cortisol 7.9(7-10)pg/ml

HDL- 58
LDL- 66
VLDL- 7
Triglycerides- 36

Blood pressure is about 120/60
Heart Rate is around 60

(I took a lipid panel 5 years back with similar results, but Triglycerides were 66)

So I'm a little low on a couple. I have felt something is off for a few years now. I hope you all can make some sense of this! Also, should I even consider therapy this young?

Rather than HRT, I went the way of NATURAL supplments, like Tribulus, Horny Goat weed comples, longjack..after a few weeks, it seems my performance is MUCH better...some home test kits arent too accurate,,but macuna prureins, feenugreek have reduced my cholesterol by almost 100 points

There is also a lot to be said for amino acids supplementation..like oritine, arinine for growth hormone release...

takng these for some months now, I feel 20 yrs younger

One biologist told me that creams, gels of testosterone can actually shut down production in the testicles, and cause them to atrophy
