question about my husband

Post a new topicby teenam on Fri Mar 07, 2008 2:24 pm

I have a question I was hoping someone would provide feedback on. My husband is 51 and several months ago was diagnosed with low testesterone . He has been on Androgel for months now (5g?). Yesterday he got the results back from his bloodwork and the levels decreased instead of increasing! He went from about 200 to 150. His doctor is doubling the dosage and says if it doesn't increase in 2 months then he wants him to go to a urologist I am new to this all, but to me there should be more being done right now. Has anyone been through this where the medication didn't help? Are the injections better? Also from what I am seeing, this is a life long medication, correct? Thanks for reading this.
