Hi,
My name is Mary. I’m 45 years old, and was born with Spina Bifida. I’ve had incontinence issues my entire life, caused by the spina bifida. I had my right kidney removed when I was 9 years old, started intermittent catherization shortly afterward, and had an artificial sphincter implanted when I was 19. I am a 40yrs old male and have Spina Bifida nad also have had a Sphincter implanted when I was 22yrs old but had to have it removed as the pump failed after 7yrs and now have to intermittant self cath due to bladder neck being closed with necrotised tissue, but I under stand the frustration in having the hernia.has it been due to the repeated repairs??
