nerve entrapment following needle suspension surgeryI had a stamey/pereyra needle suspension sugery over 1 year ago and the surgeon probally made the sutures too tight. 6 months later another urogynecologist took out the sutures and placed an infast sling in instead. I have still have mid groin pain bilaterally approximatelt mid point on the inguinal ligament. They suspect I still have scar tissue in that area and that I have obturator nerve entrapment. I have done physical therapy elect stim, ultrasound, trigger point injections. I am being sent to a neurologist to determine the status of any nerve damage. Than my ob/gyn might do surgery to cut awasy the the remaining scar tissue. My questions 1. How come it took 20 monhts to figure this out? Is it that unusual, 2. What is the success rate for the surgery going into the space of retzius and removing the scar tissue?
I would appreciate any advice. It has been a long 2 years. madelline
