Urinary Tract Infection

In the past 2 months, October and November, 2007, I have had 3 urinary tract infections. For the first two I was prescribed Macrobid (generic) and I am finishing up with Cipro.
My concern is that I don’t understand WHY I am getting so many. I have an indwelling suprapubic catheter. I clean it everyday with Wound Cleaner and cover with T-sponges. I do not understand why they keep reocurring.
