Could UTI cause erectile dysfunction?

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Nov 28, 2005 8:04 pm

I am a 26yr old male. About3 weeks ago i had a pretty severe bladder infection (ie: blood in urine, frequent and painful urination.). My doctor ran urine tests and diagnosed it as a bladder infection and prescribed amoxicilin. Most the symtoms went away within a day. No more pain or discomfort, but I have noticed my urine still seems a bit cloudy, has an odor, and the need to urinate is still more frequent than normal. Now here is the bad part. Since the infection cleared up I have attempted intercourse with my girlfriend twice. Both times I have become fully aroused but my erection begins to weaken within just a few minutes to the point that my penis is semi soft. Even masturbation has the same results. I am heading back to the doctor in a couple days but was wondering if this is something related to the UTI and if so is this normal.
Any help appreciated

It physically should not be related to the infection but emotionally it maybe. A trial of Levitra, Cialis , or Viagra in teh short term maybe helpful
