fibromyalgia and utiwith great empathy for all who are seeking counsel and support, i join this forum with this aspect of the uti saga.... over twenty years of fibromyalgia has given me pain and symptoms of so many illnesses ie: irritable bowel syndrome and carpal tunnel and colitis and so on...the most difficult has been the uti's .. after thousands of dollars worth of tests (xrays, blood work, and the regular urinalysis each time there is a flare-up) i am being told to live with this as it is secondary pain to fibromyalgia.
living with it is as excruciating as you all can attest to... if there is no 'actual infection' to account for the pain and symptoms, then how am i to cope with every month occurrences and the debilitation that ensues..? has anyone else received this sort of counsel connecting the uti to fm and having no options left?
