Recurrent UTI after surgery Reimplantation UreterHai,
I'm women 30 years old had recurrent UTI after reimplantation ureter surgery. Last year I did the Reimplantation Ureter Surgery (caused by congenital stricture) in Singapore, after removed DJ Stent , (one month after the surgery), I had difficulty to pass the urine, and every time I want to pass the urine, I felt the urine did not really pass through, and thus cause me to go to toilet oftenly…… And 3 months later I had a Urinary Tract Infection And I consult to my doctor in Singapore and he said this is because of honeymoon cystis (since I just get married about 6 months). After that I did take some medicine but one month later the infection occurs again. Then I went to another doctor in Indonesia, and they told me to do Urodinamic, and the result was: suspect obstructed infravesika. Then they suggest me to: Ureterosistoscopy & calibration. After i done calibration (Busi) about 2 months, it is easier for me to pass the urine (not difficult as before), although I still have to go toilet often…….and at this time the UTI is repeated again (for the second time). And after taking the antibiotic injection, the doctor in Indonesia told me to do cystocopy & MCU. From here I just knew that I had reflux grade IV-V. And the doctor in Indonesia advise me to surgery this reflux (to make anti reflux). But when I had some consultation with my doctor in Singapore who done my surgery before, he said that I don’t need any more surgery and this reflux does not harm my kidney, and if I do another surgery it will make my ureter become strictur or reflux again. On my previous surgery, the doctor did not make anti reflux for my case hydronefrosis, because I am 29 yo and the case of reflux I had was from sexual activities and the bacteria on my intestine. So now I am confuse with these 2 different opinions. Any one could help me ? When some one did Surgery Reimplantation ureter should make anti reflux ( valve ) ?
