Something Strange with Turbid UrineHi! My name is Costin and I want to ask you about something that seems strange to me. First of all I am a 6th year medical student. This problem appeared about 3 years ago and it consists of a turbidity in my first part of the urine (sometimes as turbid as milk). When there is sufficient amount of urine, only the first part of it is turbid and then it becomes normal (clear). Also there are days when this thing never happens. Sometimes it happenes that the urine is turbid in the first part, then clear and then turbid again. I've made an UA and urine culture sometimes ago. The urine culture was negative. The only thing that the UA reveals was the presence of mucus. I've never experienced fever linked with these episodes. Sometimes I feel some burning sensation in my penis but this is somewhat rare. So, my question is what tests should I undergo? Is there any need for an endoscopic evaluation of the entire lower tract? Please tell me the entire management for this problem...everything you consider to be performed (pyelogram, CT, MRI). Thank you very much!
Re: Something Strange with Turbid UrineI would stop examining your urine if the only problem is turbidity at the beginning of urination with out any other symptoms. If you really think you have a problem see a Urologist and don't try to diagnosis yourself.
