first uti ever. Have been on cipro for three of the five days dose that I have. First day, noticed a big improvement, today, urinating a lot again. Had a test done in dr's office, said urine was cloudy, looked fine to me, and a bit of blood, never saw any. Main symptom was frequent urination with one day of a burning feeling, but that feeling subsided before I visited doctor. Sent urine away for further testing. How long does it USUALLY take for this infection to clear up. Is it common to still have to urinate frequently while taking the Cipro (not as much as before seeing the doctor)? Any help would be most appreciated. As a ps, had an eye infection three weeks ago and had taken an amoxocillin for it, along with some antibiotic eye cream.
