pancreatic cancer

Post a new topicby toots1044 on Mon Oct 15, 2007 2:57 pm

They thought I had a kidney stone but after the uretheroscopy, no stone was found and no cancer in bladdder, kidneys or tubes. Is it possible to have pancreatic cancer? They are to do an ultra sound on 10-29-07. What kind of test would determine if it is in the pancreas? Also the urologist stated that whatever was in there is benign. How can he make the determination without any tests? I am getting terrified! I have lost some weight, feel fatigued and still have dull ache in right flank and right side. I am still on antibiotics. Please can someone reply!

not sure why you would leap to pancreatic cancer as a possible diagnosis for symptoms that someone thought were kidney stones. Ct scan would be best for determining pancreatic cancer.

Just scared. May be its gallbladder. I only know that my eyes are a little yellow, nausea has started, fatigued. With a CT scan do they have to use dye? I'm the one with a needle phobia really bad so anything to do with needles I freak out but my symptons are getting worse. I have a doctors appt today and hopefully they will do an ultra sound.

An ultrasound would be a good starting point. The CT scan would be best with contrast although a non contrast CT would give some information. good luck

Well I just got the results of my ultra sound. Gall bladder and pancreas normal. However, their is a subcentimeter cyst seen in the interpolar region of the right kidney. Are these benign or could it be cancer? I believe a CT Scan will be scheduled. Since I have been having pain in right abdomen and some around where the right kidney is, losing weight rapidly, nausea and some vomiting. I always worry the worse, cancer. Please respond Thank you
