Re: prolapsingMy daughter age 32 has Vaginal Prolapse with the Vaginal Cuff herniation with her bowel dropping into the vaginal canal. She had her hysterectomy when she was 28. She is in a tremendous amount of pain. Our problem comes with her not having medical insurance. When she went to the GYN Urologist they were getting ready to schedule her surgery and stopped as soon as they realized she was uninsured. We have tried so many ways to make them understand that she needs this surgery to stop the pain. She makes too much for medical assistance but not enough to purchase her own. So to compound her fear for her health, she is afraid that no one will help her. They the doctors, claim this would be considered elective surgery!!!! I would like to know why a bowel prolapsed into your vagina can be considered elective??????
