Pessary?Hi I am new to the Forum. I have had two failed vaginal prolapse surgeries (both with mesh). The first one let go and the mesh fell into my bowels resulting in extensive bowel surgery to remove the mesh (which had poked holes all through my bowels, and appendix...) it had also caused severe infection and two fistulas. I now have an ileostomy as they removed some of the bowel and rerouted it. While the surgeon was removing the first fallen mesh from my bowels he noticed that the other one(second repair job) had also become detached and was just hanging there so he removed it as well. Long story short, I now have another prolapse and it is impossible for me to have any more surgeries of this nature. I have been told it is too risky and technically complicated. I have underlying connective tissue disorder (Ehlers Danlos). I know that my only resort now is to start using a pessary and I was just wondering if any of you could please share your stories on your pessary use. I have no idea what to expect and I just pray that it can offer me some degree of comfort. The painful pressure is almost unbearable at times and I feel so discouraged. Thanks so much.....Marlene
