SCARED

Post a new topicby lbrown63 on Tue Oct 21, 2008 10:46 am

MY SURGERY IS TOMORROW. I HAVE VAGINAL PROLAPSE AND I ALSO NEED A SLING. I HAVE READ EVERYTHING ABOUT MY SURGERY, ETC AND FELT COMFORTABLE WITH WHAT I WAS HAVING DONE BUT AFTER READING ABOUT WOMEN WHO HAVE HAD THIS PROCEDURE I FIND MYSELF SCARED AGAIN. OTHER THAN CHILDBIRTH YEARS AGO I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TYPE OF SURGERY. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW YOUR SEX LIFE IS SENSE YOU HAVE HAD THIS DONE IE. PAIN, ORGASM ETC.

I have never had this before and this is a new topic for me but I want to tell you to stop be scared about things that have not happened to you as yet. Think about your health, take time to heal, go to your post op checks and listen to your body talking to you. It will tell you when you are feeling okay and when not. So listen to yourself closely. If you have problems talk to doctors or nurses about them do not be embarrassed. And about sex after the surgery you wont know until you try it. Take your time ans don't rush things. If your uncomfortable in one position then try another until you get comfortable. The again take it easy.
